The UK Fintech Mission to Spain and Portugal, organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) teams at the British Embassy in Madrid and the British Embassy in Lisbon, represents an excellent opportunity for UK fintech companies interested in expanding their business in the Spanish and Portuguese markets.

This Mission will offer 10-12 UK fintechs a programme of networking opportunities and events to present their financial technologies to potential clients in Madrid and Lisbon.

How can I join the Mission?

10-12 UK-registered companies will be selected to join the Mission travelling to Madrid and Lisbon to present their fintech solutions to Spanish and Portuguese companies in the following sectors:

  • retail
  • hotels & tourism
  • property

In order to be included in the selection process to join the Mission, UK companies with fintech solutions for Spanish and Portuguese companies in these sectors need to register below by Monday 8 April. DIT will then select 10-12 export-ready UK fintechs, taking into account the preferences of potential clients who will be attending the events in Madrid and Lisbon.

There is no participation fee. DIT will book and cover the cost of accommodation in Madrid and Lisbon. Companies selected to take part in the Mission are responsible for booking and covering the cost of their own flights and/or travel arrangements.
