An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Administrator to join the team in our Ipswich or Norwich office, on an initial 12-month contract.

The role will suit somebody looking for part time work, as we require the successful candidate to be in the office for 3 days per week

About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Administrator to join the team in our Ipswich or Norwich office, on an initial 12-month contract.

The role will suit somebody looking for part time work, as we require the successful candidate to be in the office for 3 days per week (21 hours) and we can be flexible with regards to days worked. The entire staff of Brewin Dolphin can effectively work from home for periods during the current pandemic.

The role involves assisting with the day to day administration of looking after our clients and supporting the investment management team. You will provide support to senior staff, dealing with various tasks, as well as working with the administration team to ensure the smooth running of the team and enhance client experience.

Responsibilities Include

    • Using MS Excel to work with data
    • Maintaining/developing team client spreadsheet
    • Preparing review packs/pitch documents/presentations using PowerPoint.
    • Portfolio administration
    • Using OMS to book trades in a timely manner
    • Support current admin staff with transfers, new account openings and deceased estates amongst other duties
    • Liaising with operations department
    • Use of CE to assist with Client Reviews and update client information/new a/c processing
    • General record keeping and electronic filing
    • Handling of telephone calls and enquiries and ensuing they are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring maintenance of client KYC on systems
    • Help with team projects – i.e. suitability / annual reviews
    • Assist team members as required

 

Skills

    • Previous administration and financial services experience are essential – additional training will be provided.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint essential as well as Word/Access/Outlook.
    • Accuracy, numeracy, attention to detail
    • Ability to meet deadline/work within restricted timescales
    • Flexible and reliable
    • Exceptional organisational skills and able to work independently and manage workload to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good positive, friendly approach with the confidence to deal with people at all levels.
    • A flexible approach and the ability to work with others in an often-dynamic environment is key to enjoying the role.
    • Competent at preparing written material, compiling reports.
