The number working in finance and related professional services in the region soars by 7.1% in a year.
The number of people working in finance and related professional services has grown faster in the East of England than in London over the past year, according to a study by The CityUK.
Growth in the East of England in the finance and related sectors is higher than in the Capital, based on a report from The CityUK, an industry-led body that represents UK based financial services sector and related professional services. As an industry that contributes c.10% of the UK’s total economic output, the Body promotes policies that drive competitiveness, support job creation and ensure long-term economic growth for UK businesses.
In the report, Norwich is named, alongside Watford and Ipswich as being the largest financial and related professional services centres in the region in terms of employment, with the number working in finance and related professional services in the region soaring by 7.1% in a year.
