Chadwicks Masterclass. Employee Ownership Trusts – an introduction.

The changes to Business Asset Disposal Relief has accelerated already growing interest in Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs).

In this session we will be looking at how EOTs work, both in theory and practice, while also considering what needs to be in place to increase the probability of a successful conclusion to the transaction.

Richard Ross will open the session with a discussion identifying the steps to prepare for the transfer of business ownership. This will be followed by Mark Garner who will share his experience of both acquiring and selling businesses.

After the break, We will hear from John Kahn and Katie Harman who will give a comprehensive overview of Employee Ownership Trusts and consider their pros and cons.

This will be followed by Matthew Lambert who will share his experience of taking a business through the EOT process.

The session will conclude with an opportunity for questions and general discussion.
