Whatever happens, it looks like Labour will be the majority party but it’s also possible that some of the smaller parties will have enough seats to come together to bring a meaningful influence on policy. It could be an interesting time – and I didn’t think I’d be writing that about a Starmer government!

Join us on the 10th July when we’ll be rummaging beyond the election rhetoric to pick apart the likely impact of Labour’s plans and looking at what they mean for you. Spoiler alert – it’s not all bad news!

We’ll also take the opportunity to stand further back and look at what’s been driving markets this year, wondering whether, in a world where the UK is now only around 4% of global investment markets, does our election really matter?
