New Labour, New Budget: What Does It Mean for You?
Wednesday 30th October will see Rachel Reeves deliver the first budget of the new Labour Government. It is likely to be the most consequential fiscal event since George Osborne’s austerity budget of June 2010. Hopefully it will have a less damaging outcome!
After much speculation we will find out what Rachel Reeves has planned to try to navigate our economy to calmer waters. She will reveal how she will reset the balance between taxes and spending; the extent to which she will be supporting public services and addressing failing infrastructure while keeping borrowing under control.
