Driving Innovation. Creating an Innovation Culture

Innovation has nothing to do with how many R & D dollars you have.

Innovation has nothing to do with how many R & D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R & D. It’s not about money. It’s about the people you have, how you’re led, and how much you get it. – Steve Jobs

In this session we will be looking at innovation and creativity. Sustainable competitive advantage is the holy grail of business and we’ll be considering the impact a focus on creativity and innovation has in creating market-leading products and services.

Agenda:

Disruptive innovation. What is it? How do you spot it? What can you do to protect your business against it? How can you use it to your benefit? Richard Ross will start the session by answering these questions, explaining how disruptive innovation is a specific strategy for gaining market dominance.

Comfort break. Coffee, tea and exceptionally fine cake will be served.

The Possibilities of Disruption. After the break, we are delighted to welcome back Dr Wendy Ross who will build on her previous talk by sharing her insights on creativity and problem-solving, exploring how these can be fostered within organisations.

By the end of the session, we aim for you to have a clearer path to making the most of the creativity and innovation that already sits in your organisation.

The Masterclass will last around two hours with questions and be of interest to anyone curious about the world around them. This is an in-person session so places are limited. We are keen to keep our Masterclasses free of charge. This year, we are proud to support The Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity. If you find the masterclass useful we would encourage you to donate to support their work.

We hope you can join us!

Is the UK still an attractive place to do business? As businesses how can we compete in this future business environment? In our breakfast seminars we seek answers.
